TIMES is an new emergent flagship of the CS-DC UNESCO UniTwin
Objectives & scope of coverage
The aim of the TIMES satellite is to provide social intelligence eco-systems for helping the territories to do their transition towards multi-level equity and sustainability. Multilevel spatiotemporal stochastic models of all the branches of the circular collaborative economy from fields to the planet, support the search of transition dynamics towards new forms of territorial governance by the GOs (Governmental Organisations) & DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organisation of producers, consumers and scientific e-teams).
The long-term context is the inescapable transitions in many domains such as energy, environment, economy, digital, cognitive revolutions and the second internet revolution. The Block-Chain and IPFS technologies allow a governance revolution through smart contracts, ubiquitous trust and big data sharing, that can lead to a new circular collaborative economy.
The above revolutions can be summarized into a necessary socio-economical revolution combined with the NBICS revolution (nano-bio-info-cogno-socio): the challenge of each territory is on how the NBICS revolution can be used for its eco-economical revolution. History has demonstrated that territories missing a technological revolution lose part of their employment and increase the inequalities with the other territories that exploit it. On the contrary, regions and countries can jump to the top scientific and technological level in one generation. Some single or articulated decisions and regulations are able to influence the systems’ transitions. The TIMES satellite will contribute to building multi-disciplinary theoretical knowledge in complex systems science to address these huge societal issues.
